Rules
(a){1} This Competition shall be designated The Surridge Gloucestershire County Football League and shall consist of no more than 20 Clubs who shall be Full Member Clubs.
(a){2} All such Member Clubs must be affiliated to the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited and their names and particulars shall be returned annually by the appointed date on Form D to the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited.
The area covered by the Competition Membership shall be Clubs having grounds or Headquarters within the County of Gloucestershire and in those parts of the City of Bristol which were in the boundary of that City in 1908.
(a){3} Clubs who are members of a Competition affiliated to the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited. but whose parent County is other than the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited, may apply for Membership providing they are affiliated to the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited at the commencement of the season prior to the date of application and meet all the requirements of the County League as specified in the rules.
This Competition shall apply annually for sanction to the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited and the constituent teams of Member Clubs may be grouped in divisions not exceeding twenty in number.
Subject to the prior written approval by the Council of the Gloucestershire Football Association Limited, the Management Committee and Member Clubs shall determine the number of divisions the Competition shall run, not exceeding two, or contain more than twenty members each. Rule 12 {d}{1} shall only apply to the First Division.
(a){4} First Teams or Senior Reserve Teams of clubs within the National League System that are members of the Competition at or above Step 4, may apply through the pyramid system for promotion or relegation as per Rule 12.
(a){5} Member Clubs shall not enter any of their teams playing in any other Competitions [with the exception of FA and County FA Competitions] except with the written consent of the Management Committee of the Competition.
(b) At the Annual General Meeting or a Special General Meeting called for the purpose, a majority of the delegates present shall have the power to decide or adjust the compilation of the divisions at their discretion. When necessary the rule shall take precedence over Rule 12.
